Belt screeching under WOT???

Ive had this problem since ive had my car, while i still had some of the dealer warrenty they replaced the belt.
It 's seems to happen every so often & somestime it goes away for weeks.
Weather seems to play no roll in it either, hot or cold, it just seems to do it when it wants to.

What happens is sometimes when im under WOT the belt will screech on the 2-3 shift or sometimes the 1-2 but more often the 2-3 shift.
I took it to the dealer many times on this, they say the belt is on correct & they can never get it to screech while they have it!
I dont know what to do, it just does it whenever, sometimes i'll go weeks w/o hearing it.
Is it gonna cause any problems down the road, should i even worry about it??
My friend Darren has a LT1 T/A he has the same problem, is this common with LT1's???

It is just the belt laing a little rubber trying to keep up with the crank. I wouldn't worry about it.

It's not exactly normal.. One of these days you're going to throw the belt on the shift.

How's your tensioner? Did they replace it?

Also: I'm sure you know what it is... But any chance it's the tranny? Got a shift kit?

Doubt it will stop. Either your pulleys are dirty/glazed or the belt is not a real good one or the tensioner is not providing enough tension. A Goodyear Gatorback is a good belt.

They said the tensioner is good but i really dont trust them, I guess i'll have to check it.
Shiftkit, im not sure, i didn't put one in, but this car shifts pretty hard, breaks loose in 2nd all the time.
There was no other mods on the car when i bought it, is there anyway of telling if i have one???

I would remove the belt and clean them with alcohol or Simple Green and a brush. Rinse them off with water if you use Simple Green. Don't get the opti wet. Most times, the problem is the belt or the tensioner.
