Of EGR, Air Pump....

I'l be installing some MAC headers in my 94LT1 with gutted cat and Spintech muffler as soon as they come back from JtHot, I'm kinda confused regarding the removal of the EGR and Air pump, what are the gains and what are the real pros and cons ( No emission inspections in Sth.Fla.)

Laterzzz...LA

There are no gains. The pros is that it cleans up your engine bay. Especially the reomoval of the A.I.R. pump & all the tubing.
Then cons I haven't come across yet I guess.

I heard it was a bitch to take off all the air pump and egr tubing. Is there a guide anywhere that explains the process?? I haven't seen one anywhere.

It was easy for me. I used a tubing cutter & cut the AIR tube into 3 pieces to get it out from under/behind the power steering pump. Really very easy. I think the hardest part was finding a nice set of plugs for the headers AIR bungs. I made mine...

If I remove the air-pump and egr I'll have to reflash the comp to get rid of the codes?? Will removing these components screw up the rest of the systems (o2's, ect)??
