Anyone have the XE 230/236 cam? Questions asked...
I have a 97 TA that is set-up to take an aftermarket cam. The heads are full of goodies. Ex: 10308-1 Crane Spring Retainer Kit, Summit Guide Plates, Summit 1.6 RR's with 7/16 Studs, ARP Screw-In-Studs, Comp Cam 5/16 Hardened Push Rods, Felpro Performance Gaskets, 3 angle Valve Job and ARP Head Bolts. They do have the stock size valves and have had no porting work done at all.
I have a 10" TCI 2800 Stall Converter, Hooker Shorty Headers, 3.73 Gears, E.T. Streets and OBD1 LT1 Edit. So basically I am set-up for a larger cam.
My question is would this cam be the best suited for me? I dont want to rev to the moon and would like to make most power in the begiining and in the middle. Would like a lopy idle and just ***** out. Most of the time is spent at the strip whenever possible.
What do you guys think?
