Opti bad or the sending unit before it?
Opti bad or the sending unit before it?
I took the wire off from the opti to the coil and put the old one on and the car started. Messed with it and it would start...then it wouldn't start up again....messed around and it would start then wouldn't start again. How do I tell if the coil before the opti is bad....or if the opti is bad???? The car hesitates totally when I floor it. there is no power from 1000-2300 rpms? What's wrong?
Based on what you have said, the wire or connector is the bad guy. To test the coil, plug a spark plug into the coil, grond it and see if it sparks. My advice is to get a good set of wires. Also clean all the connectors to the ICM, opti and the PCM with electrical cleaner.
