2200 stall + A4 + BFG drag radials: should I worry about rear end??

I just got a stall, and my BFG drags are on the way. Should I worry about blowing up my rear end?? Would a rear end girdle help with strengthening it any?? I'll also be doing V6 rear springs and having my stock LCAs boxed.

Thanks
John

I think you will be fine since you have an A4. I ran the time in sig with a 3,600 stall, ET Drags, and a 3.42 10-bolt. Spraying a 150-175 shot out of the hole. Best 60 ft. so far of 1.55. Should be 1.4x at a decently prepped track. I only had to replace one set of gears in 3+ years of street/strip abuse.

Running a A4 is alot more forgiving then a M6. I run E.T. Streets and have the V6 springs along with BMR Boxed SFC's, BMR Tubular LCA's, Drag Air Bag, BMR Relocating Brackets. Im not too worried about this. I have however purchased a new Zexel Torsen Carrier and will be adding a TA Girdle to stregthen things up as you say. I do agree with you. Cant hurt to be on the safer side. I run a 2800 TCI 10" converter. Now granted with this set-up I have not been able to get track time due to all the rain in San Antonio latley but I will be hoping for 1.6xx's 60 foot times. I will find out this Wednesday night if I can do that.

My friend has a 3800 Vigilante and runs E.T. Streets with the HD Carrier and A Girdle. He cuts 1.60 60 foot times and runs 11.6xx's int he 1/4 mile. Never had a problem until SLP day a few eeks ago. Hooked up and didnt have the rear very hot since we had to wait in line for 2 1/2 hours before we got to make 1 pass. Busted a tooth off the ring gear. Fixed and will be heading out this Wednesday too.

Good to know. I'd like to get this thing into the 12s. We'll see I guess. I need to add a Girdle to my shopping list I guess. Looks like I'll be on the phone with summit here shortly!!

Thanks

I'm running a 2800 stall on DR's and cutting 1.7's now with no problem.

I am however picking up a TA Girdle for a killer deal used, and will cross my fingers for when my cam gets here sometime next week that it will continue to hold..

Do any of you know where I can get a girdle for cheap?? I looked in summit and it's $129, plus I think you have to buy the $29 stud kit.
