That seems about right----according to the Chilton manaul. Mine is that way too and I only have 39K mi. on the clock. Some have more than that though----nothing to get worried about.

Does it surge at all or always stay low?

If it always stays low try swapping in a new sending unit first or check the pressure with a mechanical guage.

That seems very low to me. Mine sits between 20 & 25 PSI at Idle. Goes up to about 55 PSI under revs. I'd double check that.
Last summer my Oil pressure read about 10 & then I noticed my stock sending unit was bad. I replaced with an aftermarket gauge & all is good now.

Well I is always low however it does go up as the revs go up. How much is a new sending unit and how much work is it to install.

Its not hard to install.

I've never done it on a 94+ car but I think its at the back of the intake manifold on the driver's side?

Mine was way low on the driver's side above the oil pan because I have a 93.

It just screws in. Be careful of the plastic connector on the end. Easy to break in the cold.

It is on the back of the intake manifold like stated by Gripenfelter. You will need an special socket though. I didn't need to use the socket cause I went aftermarket which is a much different sending unit then the stock one. My plastic was broke on my stock sending unit which is what caused my low readings....... Thankfully...

Do a search about the OP sending unit & you should be able to find out about the socket that I mentioned. I am sure you can do it without the socket but it is tight back there & may just benefit you.

Good Luck.
