timing set?

Is there anyway to tell if your timing chain set is worn? I have a low rpm stumble and a high rpm miss and I was wondering if that could be a cause. The engine has 70k on it and it pulls hard in the mid rpm range, just has problems down low and up top. I have replaced pretty much every external engine part that would cause that kind of problem. Would a compression test tell if the timing chain is worn?

No a compression test wouldn't tell you if it is worn. You would need to pull the timing cover and inspect it.

Take a timing light to it.It should be steady.I doubt that is the problem.More than likely an ignition stumble.A compression test is a good idea though.
