Need help locating some GM 9438315 Fuel Evap hose.
Need help locating some GM 9438315 Fuel Evap hose.
I know this is probably the wrong section, but like the title says, I need 4 feet of GM part number 9438315 Fuel Evap hose. No dealers have it in stock around me and they want to charge me for a 25 foot roll to order it.
Any insight would be great.

any auto parts store has a large assortment of vacuum hose and adaptors. they even sell the hard vacuum line. i just replaced most of my evap lines a few months back the only one that was not just standard line is the one that comes off of the manifold and into the evap solonoid i just picked up a vacuum elbow that fit on the manifold and then used a reducer to go down to the correct size hose for the sololoid

Hose that isn't fuel resistant isn't "cheap crap"..... it's just hose that isn't intended for exposure to fuel and fuel vapor. That makes no sense at all.
And fuel vapor hose it technically not the same as hose intended for liquid fuel, but no undesired side effects will occur

Thanks guys...
There is actually some confusion here... what I need is actually the hard plastic line (or reasonable replacement) that runs from the canister to the emergency vent valve.
The guy at the dealership thought I was talking about the regular vent valve on the phone and just gave me the GM part number for the hose... which I've already replaced.

that was my way of bad mouthing these big auto parts stores i have had nothing but trouble with anything and everything i have ever bought from these stores. not to mention most of the time they give people advice that is total crap just to sell people parts they dont need. i could sit here and tell you dozens of stories about all the crap that went bad and left me stranded. anyway there is no reason to put a person down.
