Whould Burning oil kill o2s?

Tracked my burning oil down to rocker studs or intake gasket. All drivers side plugs after 5000 miles so signs of it and go through a quart every 200 miles. would the burning oil kill my o2s?

Re: Whould Burning oil kill o2s?

Burning oil will definitely cause you problems. however if your leak has been narrowed down to your head, it is more then likely the valve stem seals. this is a common problem on most high mileage engines. valve stem seals can be replaced by a good shop with proper equipment without removing the head.

Burning oil in your exhaust can and will cause problems with your o2 sensors and your Cat's over time.
