C5 wheels on a 95 z28 clearance issues.

After I out these wheels on I noticed the RR us rubbing against the chassis. Do I need to best in the chassis with a hammer to clearence it?

Re: C5 wheels on a 95 z28 clearance issues.

I had minor rubbing in the undercoating of my car with the rear tires, and extremely minor rubbing up front under the plastic fender/shields.

I'm currently using spacers but one of these days I'm going to take the wheel off and take a BFH and flatten the undercoating.

Where exactly are your tires rubbing?

Btw, I've got 265/40/17 (front) and 295/35/18 (rear) if it helps.

Mine is rubbing on the front part of the RR fender shields. I believe mine are 275/40/18.

So I beat the front of the inner fender well in on the RR with a hammer. Problem solved.

If it was only rubbing on the right side, it may have been a problem of the chassis not being correctly centered over the rear axle assembly. That problem might have been solved with an adjustable panhard rod.

I use an Adj pan bar to center 315-35-17 rears on 17x11 ZR1 wheels. Close clearance but no rubs after equal adjustment. I also clearanced the inner fender in the front area. B.
