powerloss/rpm gauge goes backward around 2000rpm???
powerloss/rpm gauge goes backward around 2000rpm???
my 1993 trans am had a delteq system installed when i bought the car a few months ago and it just started running rough. So I took the delteq off and hooked the MSD pro billet opti (already on car) and put a stock coil on it. The car runs great now until about 2000rpms. After about 2000 rpms, it feels like the car has a minor power loss and the stock rpm gauge will start working backwards. the rpm gauge works fine until 2000 rpms, then as the rpms increase the gauge will fall. the car drives fine even with the minor power loss above 2000 rpms. also if the car is in idle you can rev the engine and it sounds different above 2000 rpms but it is not a miss.

As long as you haven't pulled the power to the PCM (PCM BAT fuse or one of the cables off the battery) any codes should be stored. 12 as you are probably aware indicates you have successfully entered diagnostic mode.
