Help with exhaust manifold

I have a pretty bad exhaust leak and I have now found where it is coming from. Its the last port on the passengers side closest to the firewall. Seems that the last 2 bolts on that side are loose. I was able to get a stubby wrench on the last bolt from the engine bay, it was loose but not to bad, tightened it down but the leak is still there. The next bolt, #5, 2nd to last one......how the hell do I get to this thing? I can get my fingers on it from above and it is loose, I can turn it with 2 fingers but I cant for the life of me get a wrench or a socket on it from above. I got under the car and I cant even see it......any advice? this leak is really getting to me, need to fix it. Any tips or tricks are appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Help with exhaust manifold

After having been that loose, the gasket is destroyed. Unless you replace the gasket, you are wasting your time.

A combination of flex joints, extensions and even a piece of hose can help get bolts out.

You can get to that bolt real easy if you drop the starter but you should def replace the gasket and if you gotta do all that might as well get some headers.
