strut spacer for lift?
strut spacer for lift?
ok please dont hate, but im wanting like a spacer to put on top of my strut so that i can lift the front of my car like .5 in my headers drag way too bad and i need to lift the frotn of my car and was wondering if this would be an option, has anyone done/heard of this?
Re: strut spacer for lift?
Impossible to answer without knowing the year of the car. Must be a 3rd Gen, because those are the only F-Bodys that used front strut-type suspension. If its a 4th Gen, you would be asking about the coil-over spring shock assembly.
Re: strut spacer for lift?
Lol I'm sorry I forgot to add that. It's a 94 z28 so it's coilover shocks. I'm wondering if there's like a way to put a spacer in between the top mount and the shock to lift it slightly
Re: strut spacer for lift?
You would put the spacer between the lower spring seat and the spring. Or get an adjustable height shock:

Or put a spacer between the lower shock mount and the lower A-arm.

Re: strut spacer for lift?
Thunder Racing sells 1/2" spacers for under the lower shock mount. Scroll 1/2-way down the page:
