AcDelco distributor w/ msd cap and rotor or AcDelco cap and rotor

I am working on two Camaros, One is a 1994 Z28. Its 198000 miles on stock distributor and cap and rotor. Should I go with a new stock unit? MSD unit? or stock distributor and MSD cap and rotor?

In my opinion I would go with a complete stock unit. I've had no issues when replacing mine with stock many years later.

1. Complete AC-Delco opti = good

2. AC-Delco with MSD cap and rotor = better for your 94, since it will provide a venting system you do not have now.

3. Complete MSD opti = Not apprecialby better than 1, except that it does also have the venting system. More expensive.

Your needs or budget may be factors in your choice.

Will anything need to be added to make the MSD venting system work on my 94?

Just a vacuum tee (not clear if included) and a hole poked in your intake elbow. You can get the full install instructions at MSD's website.
