Car wont crank after testing fuel pump prime
Car wont crank after testing fuel pump prime
After about 3 years away from the forms i'm back!
i'll start off with my main issue. after spining rod bearings in my car i pulled out the 383 and put in a 350. when the 350 went in the fuel pump did not want to kick on and prime. after checking connections everything was working great.
i drove the car for a couple of weeks and it left me sitting at a friends house...again the fuel pump didnt want to prime. shortly after that it was the winter months and the car ended up sitting for about a year. I threw a battery in it and it fired up and ran fine. i even drove it a little bit to get the brake discs cleaned up.
now a few months later i throw a battery back in it and it was cranking over but the fuel pump was not kicking in. so i seen shoe boxes page on how to test the prime on the fuel pump. when trying to test using 12v from the batter to the 1pin terminal on the pass. fender well the car will not even crank over....grrr!!
what do i have to do to reset everything to where the car will at least crank over?
Thanks!

after more digging i found #8 fuse 15amp for pcm ign was blown. put a new fuse in. it cranked, fired and died. so now at least i'm back to my org. problem.
i've pulled the relay for the fuel pump to do some testing and maybe even buy another one....
back to the drawing board.......

installed new fuel pump relay and no dice. still just cranking over. The only thing i can think of is the connection above the rear end. testing there for 12v when the key is turned on for priming of the pump. if i have that then i guess its the pump? does this sound logical?
