Priming oil Pump. Something is not right

I'm using a drill to prime my freshly rebuilt engine and something does not seem right. My rockers are not filling up with oil and flowing out the tip
When I remove the rockers and pushrods the lifter is flowing lots of oil. Then I put the pushrods on the lifter and there is flow oil out the top of the pushrod. But when I put the rocker on not very much oil is coming out the top of the rocker. Oil is coming out and down the rocker stud but not out the top of the rocker like I have saw on my last engine.
I'm using
cc 1105 http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CCA-1105-16/
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CCA-7955-16/
with LS7 lifters.

Is this normal or do I have a problem.

I'd say you were good if oil is coming out the top of the pushrod. It takes the up/down motion of the rockers with engine running to splash the oil out on the rocker.

Completely normal. A drill cannot duplicate the pressures an oil pump can produce.

I hope you guys are right. I'm putting the intake on in the morning.

Put it on now, so it can dry overnight.

It will have a day or two to dry. I still need to bolt on the blower kit and roll the engine and tranny under the car.
