Warped Rotors
Warped Rotors
Ok so here is my question. So I have a 93 z28, and when I apply the breaks they pulsate somewhat and my steering wheel shakes somewhat too. The faster I go, the more intense the pulsating and shaking gets. I've been told that I probably have warped rotors. There is also one more thing, when I go approximately faster than 75 miles an hour I also get a little shaking in my steering wheel and the faster I go the more intense the shaking gets. Any suggestions would be very appreciated.
Sounds like you have two problems. The shaking above 75MPH (assuming you mean this happens when you are not applying the brakes) sounds like a wheel balance problem. The shake when you brake could be warped rotors, glazed rotors or pad material buildup on the rotors.
so when you say it could be a wheel balancing problem are you referring to the lead weights on the wheel? and yes i was talking about driving 75 and over without breaking i get a little shaking in my steering wheel it is barely noticeable. I dont think its flat spots on my tires because I've already drove the car around for almost a month and its still there.

Yes, the wheel/tire assembly is "balanced" by putting it on a machine that spins it at high speed, measure the imbalance, and tells the technician how much weight to add to the wheel, and where to add it.
