94 z28 wont run after 10 mins

I just got a 94 z28. After 10 mins of running it will start to misfire and then die out. I wont restart until a day later. I thought the control module first, but i changed that and it didnt fix it. Any ideas. Its all stock.

Test for spark and fuel pressure when it won't run.

Ok, so i ran the camaro with a timing light. It ran fine for 5 mins. Then it started to miss bad. No.3 was missing at idle but when i gave it a little gas it got worse. No.1 was missing too but not as much. Then i put the light on the coil wire. I was missing as well. So i figure the optispark since the coil wire was missing during idle. What do you guys think?

Possible, but the coil and ICM are part of the ignition system, too.

Think about which components can break down as they heat up - coil, IC module, and the Opti optical module.

The Opti opitcal module, and the IC module can set codes. Have you scanned it for codes?

I had this exact same problem. Tested out everything and was getting a weird pulse on my test connector. Changed my optispark and problem is completely gone. The only code i had was a code 36 high res failure. hope it helps

Makes sense that it was the opti, since you had a code pointing to it.
