Ok, so I went out to the garage today to mock everything up and noticed that the dowel sticking out of my comp cams cam is too short to engage the opti...problem is, it has been cut off and can not be pulled out any more than it already is. Does anybody have an idea as to how long that dowel needs to be in order to engage the opti, and where I can get a replacement pin? Man, so many hurdles...

The length should be .620" - .685" measured from the face of the cam. You can call comp and they will send you one.
