this is what i get for thinking my allignition opti was good

well i posted a lil earlier about how i have been having a rough idle issue after a new short block, cc503 and many other mods install. basically its all brand new save a few sensors. well anywho, i noticed after an install of an allignition ebay 150 dollar opti i started throwing the p0336 cps code. well i thought at the time that the new opti was picking up a lazy cps. so i just ignored it because it would just go off and on. well i finally decided since everything else was new and that i didnt want the light on at all, i changed the cps - to no avail. son of a building block! so then i was watching tv and i began thinking about when the light started coming on and how the pcm detects crank position, with the opti AND the cps. then i remembered how the light came on after this opti install. ive tested everything in the ignition system. (even the suddenly failing MSD coil when i first tried to start it up upon completion. good thing i kept that factory coil....) everything is good. this rough idle ( kind of like a half miss if that makes sense...) and cps code has led me to conclude that this opti belongs where the sun dont shine in allignition and not on my trans am.

glad you've seen the light. i went through 2 from them, 1 due to their "warranty." they charged me $80 to "fix" it when i returned it because it failed due to "moisture or oil" and not a defect. what kind of warranty is that?

P0336 will set due to your cam no matter what opti you use. The code can be eliminated in the tune. Trust me, I went through this when I built mine up.

It done it before the cam too....not that i dont believe you. i just think this rough idle that i cannot get to go away, again even before the cam and the code is a result of that crappy made opti.
