Skinny Pro Stars

Is everyone getting longer studs to use with the front skinnies? If so what do you do when you goback to stock wheels?

I want to run the pro Star skinnies up front but also want to be able to change back over to 18'' chrome Z06 wheels EASILY if i decide to go further than cruise night.

Longer studs, and they just look ugly when I put my street wheels on. I found a set of "duplex" 12mm lugs, which are twice as long as a standard lug. That will cover the ends of the bolts and make them look a bit less ugly. I did that in the back, with my 3" long 1/2" studs, and they worked well. The duplex lugs are closed end, so you have to drill the end to open it up, and run a tap through the hole from the inside, to allow the studs to thread all the way to the end of the lug.

The front 12mm studs are a set I got from Linenfelter, many years ago, and they would look a bit better if I just cut off the unthreaded end of the studs. The 2.67" length to the end of the threads just barely meets NHRA tech with regard to the thread engagement length.
