Can I put a set of early 90's IROC Z rims on my 1995 Camaro Z28??

If not, why???

I just got a free set of 4 IROC rims in primo condition and would love to use them??

Any help would be welcome please!!!

You can bolt them on. Problem is that due to the offset (0mm front, 16mm rear), they are going to stick out 1.5 to 2" further than your stock 4th Gen wheels (55mm offset). Might be outside the fenders. Put them on and see if you like them out that far.

Just to make sure, the additional tire outside the fender will not affect the turning radius of the tire in the front wheel well, will it??

Actually I bought the car for my 17 year old son, he will probably love the look of the tires outside the wells!

I just hope it doesn't look goofy with IROC rims on it, it's hard to find 16" chrome rims for this year Camaro.

Moving the outer edge of the front tires outwards increases the chances the tires will rub on the plastic inner fender liners. In the back, it increases the chances the fender lip will contact the sidewall of the tire and cut it. Running the tires outside the fenders increases the chances of stone damage to the rocker panels, and is illegal in some states. Most require that at least some portion of the tire be covered by the fender.

 

Injuneers post it very politically correct. The answer is your 93+ Camaro will look super silly with IROC wheels sticking out 2"s.
