Pistons needed
hey guys I need your help finding a forged piston that will produce 11.0 comp with a 64cc chamber. The engine is .40 over 3.48" stroke 4340 crank and 4340 5.7" H beam rods. The block has been decked .10 and the cam is a SR 236 242 603 609 112LSA. The piston needs to large valve reliefs for 2.055 intake too.
Thanks
Thanks
The block was decked .10...what does this mean? What we need is the piston height in the cylinder.
If the piston is decked to flush with the top of the bore..the compression ratio would be 11.42 to 1 with flat topped pistons. If the pistons are down .10" in the bore, the compression ratio would be a touch over 9.0 to 1.
Anyway, find out wher the piston is at TDC and use the following convertor.... http://kb-silvolite.com/calc.php?action=comp
Use 4.125" for the gasket bore and whatever your choice of head gaskets yield for a compressed thickness...
