Exclamation gm847/Stock Heads Guys !!!

What push rod legth size did u guys use ?
my heads were never milled, and block is at stock deck height.
I dont have the PR legth checker tool and dont even know how to use it . i already have the springs installed on the heads at the proper height. i know the PR tool is a cheap insurance, but i was also told that the use of PR tool will require to swap the VS with other smaller special springs so that the tool doesnt get damaged, i just dont want to get into the hussle of removing the springs and have them reset again ,would a dial indicator with magnetic base solve the issue?

my cousins 97 Formula is stock all around minus cam and springs, we used the 918s and steel retainers and the trick flow stock length push rod.

The camshaft won't make a difference in pushrod length, and with stock heads and block you'll need stock length pushrods (7.2").

You can just check using your stock pushrods by marking the top of a single cylinder valves (intake and exhaust), reinstalling the rockers, then spining the crank around a few times by hand or with a crank switch. Then just take the rockers off and see where the marks are. If the marks are away from the center and toward the intake you need longer pushrods. If they are past the center on the exhaust side you need shorter pushrods. Post pics of the marks here if your not sure what to do. If the marks go from 3/4 intake to 3/4 exhaust your in the middle so just use stock size (7.2). Get hardened pushrods and guide plates as an added measure.

1.6 rockers won't affect pushrod length.
