Help!!! Car won't start and I am out of ideas

Where to start.... well, the car won't start.

I am at my wits end here. I turn the key an nothing happens. The gauges all come on, but in the momentary start poisition nothing happens. The starter doesn't click or anything. There is voltage at the starter (+ wire), and when I turn the key there is no voltage on the other wire (which I assume there should be). I installed an MSD box and coil (with plug/play harness). I have already disconnected and went back to stock to verify that the ignition isnt the problem. Either way, the starter should crank the motor whether the ignition system works or not.

Let's start from the beginning:

Last week, the car drove fine. Then, I used the JET/Tunercat software and successfully read the pcm (so I can look at the pcmforless tune). The next day I noticed that the LED on my dash that blinks for the alarm was not blinking anymore. I also noticed that my lock/unlock remote wasn't working anymore.

Could it be that the alarm has disabled my car (or the inability to turn off the alarm)?

I am assuming the starter isnt the issue. Where is the clutch switch, and is that tough to get at?

Clutch switch is on the floor under the upper part of the clutch pedal. It is black. The anti-theft relay(to inhibit the car from starting via alarm) is to the right of the dash(have to remove glove box to get to it).

With your keyless entry quitting too.....it sounds like you may have a body control module problem.

I ran into a no crank condition one time and was able to bridge a couple of points on the anti-theft relay to test the starter and such.

I'll see if I can dig out the troubleshooting flow charts in my factory manuals for a no turn over condition.

Here is the starter and charging schematic.

http://www.ace1252.com/images/Starte..._Schematic.JPG

When troubleshooting my no crank condition...I pulled out the anti-theft relay and shorted terminals C1 and A2 in the relay base to verify the starting system. The car cranked....so from there I knew it was either clutch switch or bcm....

What threw me for a loop was that I mistook the "clutch anticipate" switch(mounted above clutch pedal) for the clutch start switch(on floor below clutch pedal).

Hehe, I'm not even sure....I can look it up.

Here are the no crank troubleshooting charts.

Does your security light do anything when attempting to crank it? Does it come on and go out? Does it not come on at all?

You may need the BCM charts as well. I'll get them together too.

Manual says it is mounted to HVAC Module above right hand I/P insulator panel. In the picture I'm looking at....it appears to be behind the glove box.

There are some really good people here. I've learned quite a bit here and am trying to return the favor.

Here is the other stuff you may need.....

Remote Keyless entry charts.....
http://www.ace1252.com/1996_Z28_Fact..._Entry_Charts/

Theft Deterrent System......
http://www.ace1252.com/1996_Z28_Fact...em_BCM_Charts/

Just keep in mind that all of these charts are for a 1996 Z28(edit:ahh...looks like you are working on a 96 TA...so no problem). Also, the picture order is screwed up, because of my naming...I will try to fix it.

I am starting to think it might be the BCM... as I recall having issues with my flashers turning off and on by themselves, the driver's side headlight going up up only sometimes, and the TCS light blinking on my dash (when my car doesn't have TCS). I also get this wierd clicking noise that i can't figure out where it is coming from (when the key is in the run position).

Just a note...I stated that the anti-theft relay was to the left of the glove box...I meant the other "left". Hehe, i.e. right. I have edited my goof up.
