rocker adjustment

alright so i got that famous "sewing machine" sound comin out the valve covers and today i decided to pull the valve covers. i did the running adjustment, but i noticed that about 5-6 of the ones on the passenger bank didnt start ticking till 1 full turn of the nut.. sooo if they were ticking at about that much of a turn should i turn them farther than that??

Tighten them until they stop ticking, + 1/2 turn.

Ticking is to be expected with aftermarket rockers. If you set too much preload you will lose HP and possibly damage a lifter.

I had my stock rockers adjusted because some were loose (they didn't sound right), as the shop confirmed when they took a look. They are still loud like aftermarket rockers!

I dont think it would b a lifter. Lifters are usually prettty loud when they have problems. Some rockers are just noisy after a while.
