i put in some stp fuel treatment in my bird. i was gettin ready to go outta town so i figured id put it in so i could drive on the highway and get it ran through. but it started runnin HORRIBLE! it cuts out really bad, and runs like a piece of dog shyt! i know i need to get the oil changed, its almost a thousand miles over, but ive never had oil do this before. could the lt1 just be sensitive to the fuel treatment? i hope so, cuz i really dont want another problem with this damn car!

How full was the tank when you filled it and with what octane fuel? Did you put in a full bottle of injector cleaner with like 1/4 tank of gas maybe?

Sounds to me like you have a really old and/or dirty fuel filter and I've seen the fuel injector cleaners actually dislodge stuff from the filter and it'll flow up to the injectors and clog them worse.

Try using some Seafoam in the tank, that stuff is amazing!

Maybe the two events are unrelated and are just coincidental.

What is up with the coil that you "know" you need to get it changed?
