Arrow I got a question about Accel #26lb injector's i bought.

Before you flame me for buying these things i had no idea they had such a bad reputation when i bought em. I was looking for something to replace my old stock ones and Summit listed these. Now i found out soon after that stock is #24 and that people seem to hate these thing's?

I want to know the technical reason's why? Am i going to blow my motor or something if i run em becuase i really dont want to go back out and spend money on another set unless enough of you can give me a reason too!

I want my car to run as good as possible and ive already done alot! My current mod's are CAI,Edelbrock TES header's,cutout, airfoil, trick flow intake elbow,Mad28 tune.

Now right after i installed the mad28 tune my car started idling weird,it idled fine before with the stock pcm so the first thing to come to my mind was the Accel injector's i have any comments on that?

Ive also replaced the following item's

Fuel pressure regulator
Injectors
plug's with bosch platinum x2's
Borg warren wires
waterpump
water temp sensor
water temp sender
tranny with shift kit
tranny linkage
radiator and all hoses
MSD Blaster coil

Search search and then search again.

Seems many have had a problem with them sticking. This leads to souping or hydro lock. That leads to bent rods or broken ring lands or scratched cylinder walls. Among other problems.

Fail to see why you got a custom tune or new injectors for what is basically a stock set up with a few bolt ons???????

The thing is i have searched in this section and other's and 90% of the people who say not to buy em dont give any reason? Ive only heard that 1 they stick open and blow the motor and 2 the are hard to tune for.

Then there are other people who have been running them for years with no problems.

The issues with them were from years and years ago, I have used them since with no issues, and they ones I bought are still out there running.

Could you explain maybe some of the problems people were having?
