Battery ground to motor mount

Is is okay to take the bolt off holding the ground on the motor mount so i can clean it. I'm having voltage gauge jumping everywhere and want to make sure it's clean, but don't know if taking that off can result in motor moving.

If you pull that bolt out... the motor is going to lean on you. You will need something to raise the motor a little while you take it out.

If I just take the one out with the ground on it? There's two holding it in.

Well do you want to support half your engine weight on a single bolt? Probably not a good idea, specially if you're going to be down there between the header and wheel working on it. I'd put a piece of wood and a jack under the motor to support it for sure!

well, looks like it's going to have to wait another day. I've only got one, and it's holding my car up right now

There should be no problem. It is a stud with a nut on top. You are taking the nut off. The part of it holding the motor mount on will not be disturbed.

Well that sucks man.. While you're checking grounds, have you looked at the braided ground line going from the driver side by the ABS computer over to the ICM block on the driver side head? The clip on that ground commonly breaks, I had to repair mine as I was getting a slight random misfire.

no, where exactly is that one located? I cleaned one that I found behind bumper on the driver side. Now that I've cleaned all the grounds I could find except battery to block, pcm to block, and the other one the guy above mentioned, suddenly my throttle response is horrid. Like I'll press the peddle quickly and let off, and then my motor will rev.
