Valve Train questions.

Im about to do a cam swap on my car.. im going with a 230/236 duration, .622"/.624", 112lsa with pcm forless tune.. but i was wondering if you guys had any part numbers for some good springs, locks retainers i could go with for this setup.. i have 1.6 rockers and a .560 lift cam in right now which isnt cutting it for me i had a .580 lift cam and it was very good but had to do a cam swap to the .560 and it sucks.. my springs right now are rated up to a .600 lift. my car has a big power loss going to that smaller cam and all this time i was wondering why my car was slow as ***** after the cam swap.

For that big of a cam you might want to look into a dyno tune instead of mailorder.

I dont see headers listed in your sig, that may be a BIG factor if your running all that through stock manifolds/ pipes

The Patriot Xtreme spring kit (8501 BSBC) is what you need for that camshaft. A great kit, for a great price.

you can feel a significant difference in power between .560" lift and .580" lift?

So why don't you go with 1.7 RRs if all you want is more lift?

because the cam i got in now its a piece of ****... i dont want that one anymore.. i really like the way my car ran with my old cam in the car ran like a damn raped ape.. and if anyone asks well why didnt you stay with your old one is because my old one got chewed up shifting from 3rd to 2nd in like 8000 rpm's thats the only cam i had bought where i didnt have to change my springs out and crap for a bigger one.. now im changing all of it out and going with a BIG cam plus it would run alot better with the ported heads going smaller or staying with that smaller one is just kinda stupid but hey i had to do what i had to do..
