are they any good ? need some input please, and thanks. i will be using a solid roller cam with a lift 670/670, duration 260/266 and a 110 lobe separation, using afr 210 heads, not sure if going to use my 396 or the 388

This probably doesn't help you much, but if it were me w/ that kind of cam I'd move up to shaft mounts. What RPM do you plan on shifting? Anything over 7500rpm I would be a little leary about stability with stud mount rockers.

Very high quality units, use to have YTs on my Nova bracket car. Know lots of guys that use them and can't recall any who've voiced complaints.

I didn't even check the Ebay link but shop around... you should be able to find a set for ~$575 or so. Sometimes the prices are hiked a bit on Ebay because people figure they'll find the best deals there.

technically yea i guess but that is not a true shaft rocker, a quality jesel or T&D setup would be far superior.

 

Don't know how you'd quantify "far superior" but a friend of mine thought that and switched from the YT setup (paired-shaft In/Ex) to Jessel and now jokes about why he ever spent the money. Granted, this car turns 7800 rpm at the track but for a street car... I think the paired-shaft is good enough for all but the most demandind of valvetrain setups.

I have a set of Yella-Terra's and I thought they were shaft rockers but they are not. They still have the same rocker geometry as stud mounted rockers. The pivot point is at the same spot as stud mounted rockers in other words.

Those are just another way to mount a stud mounted rocker.

Shaft rockers like Jesel and T&D move the pivot point for better leverage.

For Stud mounted rockers it's hard to beat Scorpions or Cranes for quality vs cost.
