Plug wires mounted on valve covers

I did a search but could not find anything, maybe typing it in worng. Anyway.. I want to mount my wires on the valve covers like i've seen on a lot of others. Do they mak a special kit for this or do people generally drill and custom mount them on their own? Can I use the same Delco wires or do I have to get some sort of longer ones?

Do not buy the kit with the taylor wires in it! The taylor wires are junk. The looms for the valve covers are available on Summitracing.com, and use some quality MSD wires.

There's a brand called "Made for You" that sells an 8mm OTVC set on summit which will fit the Taylor wires but if you go with MSD (which sells an OTVC wire set with LT1 specific boots) you'll have to drill the holes for that extra 0.5 mm. IMO the MSD's are worth it.

You don't have to drill the brackets out, the MSD wires fit just fine.

How would I run thison my 97Z28 if my car has Smog setups on it? Wouldn't my wires burn when going down between the headers?

I don't think the brackets are all that necessary, I didn't use them, just separators and zip ties.

You can't do OTVC wires with stock manifolds. Headers only.
