any advantage of converting back to obd2

I have been chasing gremlins on my car for a couple of years now. I have a Obd1 conversion ecm in a 96. would going back to the obd2 computer help me troubleshoot this thing? I would have to tune out the Crank sensor, rear o2's, a.i.r., and egr. I guess i'd spend 150 bucks to tune the stock pcm for my car if you guys think that obd2 ecm might find some thing that the obd1 could not detect.

OBD-II was mostly for emissions. I don't think changing back is going to help you troubleshoot much.

There is individual cylinder misfire detection, but "gremlins" is not much to go on for anyone to offer advice.

Shoebox,

The car just runs wierd. Sometimes it seems like it runs ok, but most of the time it runs rough. I assume the cps is what detects misfires, iand i have deleted it to run a cloyes. Sometimes it idles ok, and sometimes it idles rough. At 2500 rpms going down the highway it will buzz your teeth out. its not the driveshaft though, i think it is a miss, but i cant be sure on it. The lastest thing i have noticed though is if i shut it off warm to order food through a drivethrough and then restart it right away, if doesnt want to idle it will drop to to 400-500 rpms. some times it last for 5 mins that way and sometimes it will do that until i turn it off and restart it. thats my newest problem in my little saga. Plus i get alot of knock retard.
