Or if you prefer Autolite's (like I do)... the 103's work great for what your talking about.. both naturally aspirated, and they also work great with moderate nitrous shots (aprox 150 RWHP shots and under)......I usually gap between 35-37 thou.........Joe

a autolite 103 or a autolite 106?106 is the stock heat range and i would think a 103 would be way to cold of a plug right?and yes i do prefer autolite lol, they work great in our lt1 cars.

I was always told TR55's are the best for a bolton/stock LT1. They arn't platinum so they conduct better...but they dont last as long as platinum. Besides I plan on changing my plugs every 20k or so anyways. They are cheap too. I think I paid ~16 for 8 on ebay.

Don't be fooled. Platinums don't last as long as most think. I would stick to a standard plug. I ran 1 heat range colder when i was H/C with the gap closed up a bit to .040. Should run good. Oh, i ran the AC plugs. I believe they were R44LTS6's.

The AutoLite 104 is 1/2 to 1 step colder than stock, and works fine in my 381 stroker, at least running without the nitrous.

Ive been told by many to only run a ntk or ngk and autolite plugs in lt1 motors. Not to say that you cant run something else but the majority funs one of the two.

Nope, 103's are not way too cold at all......the steps from 106 aren't like your thinking...as mentioned the 104's are only about 1/2 step colder than stock....not two full steps like one would tend to think going by the numbers..........even for a decent NA set-up, the 104's "AND" 103's work great......Lingenfelter (as well as many others over the years) have been putting the Autolite 103's in their NA 383 combo's for years as the prefered plug....and like mentioned, they happen to be great with moderate nitrous shots as well................Joe
