I'm installing 7/16 studs and nsa rockers. Is it ok to use washers on top of the guide plates if not threads are to long on studs.

 

Are you referring to the threads on the part of the stud that goes into the head? Is the stud bottoming out on the tang at the bottom of the helicoil inside the head boss?

 

yes bottoming out in head.

 

What kind of studs/heads/guideplates? They shouldn't be bottoming out. Putting washers under them will probably cause problems with the hex on the stud interferring with the rocker arms. Make sure you are using the correct parts.

 

LearJet is correct. Something is not right with the combination. ARP studs screw into LT1 heads with no problem.

 

yep deff. an issue there.

should fit fine with or without guideplates.

 

Thought I read it could be done and I started thinking about it and thought it would throw geom of. stock heads with cc 4501 studs with the GM guideplates.
