HELP with crank balancer

Im having trouble getting the crank hub back on. any tools or knowledge that i am lacking? i have the kentmoore LT1 crank tool (which im thinking is incomplete) and it got it off real easy but going back on seems to be a real bitch. I do not want to jack up my crank so im looking to you guys who hopefully know better than I.

I took about 4" of 7/16 x20 grade 8 threaded rod, threaded it all the way into the crank and pulled the crank in with a grade 8 nut and washer.

Lightly oil up the crank and put the hub in an oven for about 20 mins. It should expand and help with slipping it on.

what exactly is the problem getting it back on? If your tool is actually an installer then you should be good to go.
1) Center up the hub on the crank,
2) install your tool,
3) tighten down.

the problem was that it was a puller/installer kit and it was missing the piece to install. i wish i had thought about the oven trick, ill remember it next time. i did manage to get it back on with a lot of washers and pieces from the kit that were still there.
