Ok I have done a search and have seen that changing the K-member is a must for doing this swap. I have a few questions about this. Any help is appreciated.

ok first why does it gotta be changed, I am assuming the motor mount position is differant.

second, if I were to buy a tubular K member for a ls1 car, will my Lt1 A arms,rack and pinion bolt up?

just trying to see what my best options are.

I think the only thing different w/ the front susp. besides the K-member is the spindles (or steering knuckles as some refer them to) due to the different mounting position of the brake calpers. I think everything off your LT1 will work on the LS1 k-member.
