Powder coated pic of my intake + question

Here is a pic of my LE ported powdercoated intake. I sanded the top down some after PC.

I noticed that the gasket surfaces are coated also. (not seen in the pic) Will this pose a problem? I noticed that some of pc made it right inside the mouth of the intake. It has me worried now. I know that normally you can mask off this kind of stuff. It was a favor from my friends father. Other than the gasket area it looks really nice.

Why not just sand the mating surfaces down the same way you did the ribs?

I guess I could try to do that. I took a while to sand that crap off the top. The bottom surfaces underneath have no PC on them. It is just the throttle area and EGR in the back. They are both smooth surfaces. I am just wondering if it is going to be a big deal to leave them coated.

I noticed in the past that when removing the throttle body gasket that it was never really stuck to the intake like a traditional exhaust/water pump gasket. I always re-use the throttle body gasket, so wondering how critical this surface is to be metal.

Any issue about overspray being inside the intake itself? Say worst case scenario, a little of the PC comes off later on down the line?.

I am not sure, but I don't think PC on the face of the manifold where the TB seats would be a problem. The PC job looks good from that pic. It is nice to see the color black for a change instead of aged alum or LT4 red.

I would not be worried about powdercoat on the large flat mating surfaces where you use a gasket or sealer, as long as the coating there is smooth.

What is a concern are the injector holes and threaded holes.

I am going to run thread chasers into the threads. For the injector holes me and the guy that powdercoated it talked about it. I believe that if the injectors do not slide in too easy, that I will take a cartridge roll and lightly sand them out from underneath.
