opti or fuel pump check valve?
opti or fuel pump check valve?
you guys always nail it so heres the low down.
buds 95 z28 auto/vented opti..ok car will not start just cranks unless you charge the pump THREE times but it does not have any drivability problems i.e. idle issues or top rpm miss.. I am too far from him to check fuel press but all the mechanics (3) has told him.#1 "WHATS AN OPTISPARK?" #2 "YOUR STARTER IS SHOT" #3 "ITS FOR SURE YOUR DISTIBUTORSPARK CAP AND ROTOR" thats right he said distibutorspark.
I do all my own work and thats why. i have one shot to fix this for him and i'm thinking fuel pump WHAT DO YOU GUYS SAY??? thanks again

Problem start
On my 94 i have the same sympton where i have to count to 3 and then it starts!My fuel pressure showed 36 psi and no drop @high rpm,s so chk that first.I also chk,d the starter@local auto prts store and it was good.Now the bad part; i have had kr problems for at least2yrs,car runs great some days,not as good other,s,mods showing very little improvements,needing more throttle(%) when climbing a hill
Well finally last Sep i got a code 36(opti) and the car would missfire lowr rpm(like hitting a wall).This would explain why hard to start(timing adv.screwed up),kr(again timing)etc.I bought a MSD opti/coil and will get it installed this yr.Btw i also seen my scanmaster showing kr even when i would rev the engine and the trans in neutral
