Is shotpeening the crank worth the effort? I was hoping to hear from some of you that may have or have not. I was thinking of peening the crank and taping the bearings...but the only place I've ever seen a crank crack or break is at the radius on each side of the rod or main journals..the place that WON'T get peened. Can anyone put in .02 as to whether these efforts are effective? Thanks.
