Springs for hotcam
You are wrong, the LT4 springs are marginal at best for this cam. They may be OK with the lighter LT4 valves but on an LT1 they do not really maintain great control for long.
This the weakest spring anyone bothers to put on these heads other than stock, long as you buy one of the aftermarket options pretty much anything is going to be a little stiffer and work better.
Loom into the Isky's mentioned above, maybe look into the ones Crane lists for the aluminum heads, either will be good. Beehives are an option too.

Not to hijack or anything but are the springs that come with the hotcam kit sufficient. I have heard that the lt4 springs that come stock are pushing it close with the lt4 cam, why would gm do this.
As I said they may be OK with the lighter LT4 valves but not with the LT1. GM did this bec ause they were already in the parts bin, same reason they use the LT1 TB on the Ramjet 502. Doesn't mean it is right.
You really don't want to take any advise from the guy above that thinks they are good to .600, those are probably V6 cars he is racing.
