So i bought the mallory 685 and the harness to hook it up to the coil (harness part no# is 29068) but the mallory harness wire are not the same as the wires coming out of the box. the wire on the harness are one green one red one white and one pink. Coming out of the box i have one green on yellow one black and one red. so can anybody help me hook this thing up?

If the harness is the correct one to adapt the unit, then it should not matter what color the wires are.

if you do a little searching on here there is a conversion so you can use the instructions from a msd box to make sure you get the wires correct

once you get it all hooked up your def gonna love it though so many great features for the price

and remember if your gonna use the window switch the purple wire grounds the circuit

This is getting crazzy i called up mallory today and asked them why there are diffrent colored wire and whitch one is what and they proceded to tell that the mallory 685 will not work on an lt1. then i told the guy it has an external coil and then he told me that i bought the wrong harness and that they dont sell one for an lt1. I then told him that it is all hooked up and all i need to know is what does the white and pink goto on the box side of the wiring needless to say he could not help me.
