Autometer NV Series FP Guage

I have everything hooked up and the lights/dimmer work but i'm not sure about the fp reading. It's reading about 30-32 psi. Using the old fp guage on the schrader valve it read 38 with vacuum hose off and about 42 with the vacuum hose on. I do have a afpr on...will this make a difference? Also, the instructions state at Power-Up the pointer will move backwork to the stop pin and then move to the zero box. This is an auto-calibration function and is performed on every power-up. The guage does move back a little bit on power-up but not all the way to the stop pin. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

First you need to sort out your pressure using the mechanical test gauge. Your fuel pressure seems odd, either way. Normally you will see higher pressure (41-47psi) with the vacuum line disconnected, and the pressure will drop proportional to intake manifold vacuum when you reconnect the line. A 6-8psi drop wouldn't be unusual. The fact that yours raises when you attach the vacuum hose is incorrect.

After you get that straightened out, work on the electronic gauge.

Injuneer,
I reinstalled the valve stem into the schrader valve and reconnected the mechanical fp guage. It read 38 psi with the afpr hose on and 45 psi with the hose off. I typed it wrong in my previous post. So, if this is within normal limits what might be wrong with my electric fp guage. I feel like I had it hooked up right. I even went back and bled the new fuel line off the schrader valve to the fp guage sensor thinking air in the line was giving me false readings.

If the pointer does not go all the way to the left and down to the stopper or 0 then the guage has a problem and is not calibrating correctly.
