Shift light install questions

Hey guys

I'm installing a shiftlight into my car, standard power/ground/tach style

I'm having trouble finding a good power wire under my dash, does anyone have a good description of where one is, needs to be a 12 volt that comes on with the ignition.

I've also heard that theres a tach wire coming off the coil, which wire is it? My plug into it has two wires, one appears to be orange, the other a pinkish color.

Thanks for any help

I used the pink wire coming off the ASR switch for the power, now just to find a good ground..

I found a ground screw in my chassis and ran the ground wire for my shift light to that, there are grounds everywhere.

For the power source I used a single blade connector and put it in the part of the interior fuse panel labeled "ign" or something like that. It's a switched source and is quite effective for what you're looking for without having to splice wire.

As for the tach signal, I used the white(?) wire going from the PCM under the passenger side kick panel.

For future searchers, I used the White wire coming out of the red connector on the PCM, I used the power wire from the ASR switch and I used the ground off my radio.
