Opti, LTCC, Delteq, Dynaspark????

Well my TA just started messing up this morning, code 36 is present. Runs like turd! Im gonna be checking the opti harness before replacing the unit, but I would like to know which unit you guys reccomend. I have been out of the lt1 updates and releases for quite some time now. I wanted to go with Delteq because they sell the complete kit, but unfortunately it still needs the opti to function, so that would be $679 plus an additional optispark price. What do you guys reccomend, and where can it be purchased.. MODS IN THE SIG!

Well if it were me,i would get a new stock GM opti because you have a 95 which uses the vented style which is much more reliable,then get the Delteq setup and take the new opti apart and remove the rotor and then seal up the cap real good when you put it back on.Now if that is to expensive then you could just get a new Gm opti and hope you get a good one,which when it comes to the vented ones alot of guys do get alot of mileage out of them and of course some do not.

Your quote, "hopefully its good" A statement that falls in line with your's, "It's better to be lucky that good" Hopefully, you'll be lucky with your MSD opti, I wasn't lucky.

But I have my MSD opti problems (brand new distributor) figured out now;

1. Remove and replace the rotors screws and use some blue thread-locker.
2. Make sure the rotor is not rubbing (scraping) the back-plate.
3. Use the new MSD square gasket design, not the O-ring (it won't fit correctly no matter how good it is installed).
4. Hope like hell you're lucky.

Please read this MSD Opti thread!

I would probably just opt for another GM opti and save the money. The Dynaspark is an expensive piece and the Delteq and LTCC require the optical portion of the opti anyways, which you know you need to replace anyways.
