Buick Roadmaster Intake Manifold

Anyone know anything about this manifold? I have a buddy who bought a replacement lt1 that came out of a roadmaster but the intake manifold is different. should he keep it or ditch it? It looks like it is made out of plastic but I didn't look at it that hard. anyone know how it would compare to our intakes?

The Caprice LT1 used the aluminum intake just as the F/Y Body LT1's...

There's no composite/plastic manifolds.

I'm thinking either he ended up with a LSX or truck engine or some aftermarket piece thats adaptable that we don't know about

You mean the home plate that is on the intake elbow?
Toss it.
Swap in the F or Y body parts up to the throttle body.

Year for year the LT1 ansd even the L99s in the Roadmaster, Fleetwood Caprice and Impala were all the same as the f-body got.
You guys always want to make WAY more of this than there is. My motor actually wears the intake off the original L99 the car came with.

Actually the non f and y cars got slightly smaller cams and iron heads. Other than that to my knowledge they are the exact same engines.

No need, it's not an intake manifold, it's just an air intake/silencer assembly. The intake manifold is underneath that.

I was refering to intake specifically because that is what the question is about. Notice I included the L99 which is a different engine.
