918 Locks and Retainers

Hey guys i called comp and they said i could use the stock locks with these springs. I am a bit confused now as i want to order the rest of the parts to finish my valvetrain.

What retainers do i need to fit the 918 springs.

Thanks

Jason

Use the part numbers Comp recommends.

I can't believe they'd tell you that.

What cam are you running?

I've posted several times that in order to get the correct installed height with the 918 springs you need to use the 10 degree +.050" locks and 10 degree retainers. Also use the comp beehive locators. None of the stock stuff will hold up with those spring pressures. Even if it will, I wouldn't trust it.

Or call Bret, he knows his stuff and can order everything and send it to you. Thats what he did for me. He can either match Jegs price or beat them too!
