The TR55 is the correct heat range for a stock engine. They are pre-gapped to 0.050", which is the recommended gap for platinum plugs. Are they platinum, copper or iridum? If they are not platinum or iridium, its often a good idea to use a smaller gap, since the gap will open up faster as the spark erodes the electrodes. In that case, you would want the TR5, which gan be gapped to 0.035".

Whichever plug/gap you end up using, check the gap before you install them.

They say copper core on them.

Is that bad?

Yea you should atleast go with a platinum because that is how they are from the factory. I had some copper cores before and worked good but copper is weaker than the others. I got the NGKTR55IX which are the iridiums and I gap them @ 35 and they are great. Last time I gapped them @ 50 or so they plugs got all messed up. Used the AutoliteXP last time.

Well I might be SOL

I left the boxes with the receipt in the car lastnight

and it rained, and my friend didn't put the window up all the way so there was a crack in it

Anyway, the boxes are sort of discolored, and the reciept is pretty trashed

There is absolutely nothing wrong with copper plugs, other than the fact that they will not last 100K miles like the platinum or iridium is SUPPOSED to last. The platinum tips protect the electrodes and reduce the erosion of the electrodes from the spark. The copper plugs are not "weaker". I run Autolite copper 103 or 104 running NA and with small shots of nitrous, and some extremely cold Champion copper racing plugs with a 300-shot, and they are fine.
