i colred the wire orange.. with adobe.. im stumped where does this wire go, i think its hot.. the wire looks like a ground.. type wire... but im omost positive its a hot cus it acrked... the wire is located next to the abs brain

It is a ground, there is IIRC a 8mm bolt that attaches them to the body of the car. Should be within inches of where the wires are right now

okah but its odd that the wire is about 14 inces long... if it bolts right next to where it came from.....

i saw the pic.. one of the ends is allready conected.. to the frame,, and i havent seen a spot for the other end like in your pic...

where does the other end go? what is this wire ment for?

Do you have a ground wire connected just behind your LH headlight on top of the radiator support?

 

So that is where that wire grounds....I couldnt figure it out putting my engine back in so I just grounded it somwhere else on the body.

 

pretty sure you ground that to the coil stud that holds the coil on.

 

Yes its a ground strap, should go from the frame to the block. my 96 it goes to the block where the coil is.

The ground strap from the frame to the engine is a braided strap. The one in the pic is not.

The wires that ground to the coil stud come out of the harness tubing and are only a few inches long. The OP said his wire was ~14" long.

 

Shoebox maybe thats right but mine is setup this way:

the grounds out of the harness AND THE GROUND STRAP are bolt bolted to the same place, which is the (looking straight at the coil) right side coil stud and it has a nut there, so in total I have 3 grounds there. Including this ground strap, because I noticed, when the car wont start, this ground strap heats up and possibly cathes on fire, happened to me. Replaced it 100 times.
