If these are on stock LT1 heads, get the 10 degree + .050" locks and retainers.

DON'T USE THOSE GUIDEPLATES. Only use either the GMPP or Isky adjustable guideplates.

Also make sure that whomever you're ordering those springs from that they were involved with the recall from Comp Cams and sent back any bad sets.

 

Why shouldn't I use the SUM-G6450 Guideplates?

 

More than likely they won't align the pushrods correctly. The correct ones aren't that expensive. Why leave something like that to chance?

Get some good chromemoly .080" wall one-piece pushrods. Comp, Crane, Manley, Thunder and Trickflow all have good ones.

 

Because the spacing of the pushrods is wrong for LTx heads. GMPP or the Iskys as seawolf06 mentioned is the way to go.
